Preventative COVID19 Work

As a preventative health organization, we have analyzed our role in the novel coronavirus global health crisis and wanted to update you on our actions.

We have echoed information from the Center for Disease Control and World Health Organization about COVID19 prevention to our international partners. Worry and rumors spread quickly through remote small villages, but we have provided our partners in Nepal and Kenya with accurate information about how to prevent coronavirus with limited resources.

We have also decided to donate our surplus of 4,500 medical examination gloves to New York City hospitals facing the highest number of coronavirus cases in our country. Our mission to improve health in communities through preventative medicine, includes protecting the health care worker. Providing medical staff with gloves enables them to continue serving those in need.

Executive Director, Hannah Akre, and Director of Public Relations, Ethan Klausmeyer, get ready to ship 4,500 gloves to New York hospitals in need.

Providing Personal Protective Equipment to New York City hospitals facing the largest number of COVID19 cases will have the greatest impact.

All of our board members are safely communicating from home and contributing to flatten the curve. We hope you and your friends, family, and loved ones can use this time to come together virtually and build a network of support.

update:

Health Goes Global has since been featured in the University of New England’ s Newsletter for their COVID-19 response.
